Dashi · open-source MCP observability
Every call has a story.
Dashi connects adoption, reliability, cost and protocol activity. An SDK reports what happened. Your collector makes it visible.

The big picture: tool calls, active users, sessions, success rate, p95 latency and estimated context tokens. Follow the activation funnel and weekly retention.

Adoption
See who shows up and who comes back. Track first connections through meaningful tool use and repeat visits.

Tools
Follow every tool from discovery to delivery, including the tools nobody calls. Inspect usage, payload shape, errors and latency.

Reliability
Separate tool failures from protocol failures. Review error rates and latency against per-class service targets.

Cost
Understand what each tool call costs the context window. Compare estimated token volume and spot outputs that are bigger than they need to be.

Protocol
See what each handshake agreed and which MCP capabilities are actually used. Understand the traffic beyond tool calls.

Sessions
Replay one conversation in order. Connect the handshake, tool calls and outcomes without stitching separate logs together.

Live
Follow events as they arrive. Keep a view open while you exercise your server and see the result of each interaction.

Alerts / Slack
Set project thresholds and bring summaries to your team. Slack digest charts show activity trends where your team already works.

A few lines. A much clearer picture.
Instrument → send → see.
Instrument
Add an SDK to the MCP server you already run.
Send
Set DASHI_URL and DASHI_KEY from your collector project. Events ship in the background.
See
Open Dashi. Follow a call from connection to result.
pip install "dashi-mcp[mcp]"

Clone the Dashi repository. With Docker Compose and Python 3 installed, run its quick start:
git clone https://github.com/mcpramen/dashi.git
cd dashi
bash scripts/init-env.sh
docker compose up --buildCreate an ingest key in Settings, then follow Setup to connect your server. See the Dashi README and the open event specification.
